Cumhuriyet’in ilan edilişinin 99. yılı Bodrum’da 3 gün süren çeşitli etkinliklerle kutlandı. Bodrum Belediyesi, 29 Ekim Cumhuriyet Bayramı kutlamalarında Bodrum merkez başta olmak üzere, Turgutreis Mahallesi ve Garaova Tarım Kampı’nda çeşitli etkinlikler düzenledi.
28 Ekim günü Bodrum Belediye Meydanı’nda düzenlenen Atatürk Anıtı’na çelenk sunma töreni ile başlayan Cumhuriyet Bayramı kutlamaları, 29 Ekim Cumartesi ve 30 Ekim Pazar günü de devam etti. Belediye Meydanı ile Turgutreis Atatürk Meydanı’nda düzenlen konserler ile fener alayına katılan binlerce kişi Cumhuriyet Bayramı’nı coşkuyla kutladı.
Bodrum'da Cumhuriyet coşkusu
Törenlere Bodrum Kaymakamı Bilgehan Bayar, Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, Bodrum Garnizon Komutanı Per. Alb. Durmuş Altınkaya, Bodrum Cumhuriyet Başsavcısı Hasan Dalak, Siyasi Parti ilçe başkanları, sivil toplum örgütleri ile öğrenciler ve çok sayıda vatandaş katıldı.
28 Ekim akşam saatlerinde Bodrum Belediyesi’nin destekleri ile Mahfel Kafe’de Cumhuriyet’in 99. yılı dolayısıyla Aquamaster Cumhuriyet Yüzme Yarışları düzenlendi. Gece deniz içerisinde ateşböceklerini andıran 423 katılımcı ile başlayan yüzme yarışı etkinliği renkli görüntülere sahne oldu. Bodrum Kaymakamı Bilgehan Bayar ile Bodrum Belediye Başkan Yardımcısı İbrahim Akbaş, yüzme yarışlarına katılanlara başarılar diledi.

29 Ekim sabahı Bodrum Kalesi Kuzey Hendeği’nde çeşitli okullardan katılım sağlayan öğrencilerin sergilediği şiir ve performans gösterileri ile kutlamalar devam ederken Bodrum Belediyesi’nin dağıttığı Türk Bayrakları ile hep bir ağızdan okunan marşlara vatandaşlar bayrakları sallayarak eşlik etti.
Bodrum Belediyesi Garaova Tarım Kampı’nda da Cumhuriyet Festivali düzenlendi. Çeşitli etkinliklerin düzenlendiği festivalde üreticilerin ürünlerini sattığı stantlar da yer aldı.

Fener Alayı
29 Ekim Cumhuriyet Bayramı Kutlamaları kapsamında akşam saatlerinde Bodrum Marina’dan Bodrum Belediye Meydanı’na kadar gerçekleşen fener alayına binlerce kişi katıldı. Sunuculuğunu Hakan Doğanay'ın yaptığı Cumhuriyet gecesine Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras ve Bodrum Kaymakamı Bilgehan Bayar’ın karşılıklı zeybek oynadığı dakikalar damga vurdu.
Bodrum Belediye Meydanı’nda, geçtiğimiz günlerde Ressam Aydemir Atalay’ın Dibeklihan Kültür ve Sanat Köyü’nde sanatseverlerle buluşan “Atatürk ve Kuvayı Millîye” Sergisi için Bodrum Belediyesi Basın Yayın ve Halkla İlişkiler Müdürlüğü tarafından hazırlanan video gösterisi izlendi. Ressam Aydemir Atalay, yaptığı Atatürk tablosunu Başkan Aras’a hediye etti.

Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, şunları söyledi:
“Atamızın meşalesini hep beraber taşıdığımız Cumhuriyet’imizin 99. yılı hepimize kutlu olsun. Sevgili hemşerilerim, aydınlık yüzlü insanlar, Ata’mızın yaktığı meşalenin aydınlığıyla 100 yıldır doğru bir yolda yürüyoruz. Ona hep sahip çıkacağız, hep beraber kucaklayacağız, gelecek bizlerin, umudunuzu kaybetmeyin.”
Bodrum Kaymakamı Bilgehan Bayar ise “Cumhuriyetimizin 100. yılına emin ve sert adımlarla ilerliyoruz. 100. yıla yaklaşmış olmanın heyecanı ve gururunu hissediyorum. Ulu Önder Atatürk’ü ve silah arkadaşlarını sevgi ve rahmetle anıyorum. İnşallah Cumhuriyetin 100. yılını da burada her zamanki gibi coşku ile kutlayacağız.” şeklinde konuştu.
Bodrum Belediye Meydanı’nda sahne alan Ferhat Livaneli Orkestrası & Utku Erişik, konsere katılan binlerce kişiye unutulmaz anlar yaşattı.
Turgutreis kutlama
Turgutreis’te düzenlenen etkinliklere Bodrum Belediye Başkan Yardımcısı İlknur Ülküm Seferoğlu, Belediye Meclis Üyesi Tamer Mandalinci ve binlerce vatandaş katıldı. Coşku ile gerçekleştirilen fener alayının ardından sunuculuğunu Banu Tarancı’nın yaptığı gecede Gripin Konseri ile Cumhuriyet Bayramı kutlandı. Konser öncesi gösteri yapan Bodrum Halk Oyunları Gençlik Spor Derneği ekibi vatandaşlardan büyük alkış aldı.

Gümüşlük'te sabah saatlerinde muhtarlık binası önünde bir araya gelen vatandaşlar saygı duruşunda bulunup marşlar okudu. CHP Gümüşlük Mahalle Temsilcisi Kemal Gökal'ın da katıldığı etkinlik coşkulu ve heyecanlı geçti.

Republic enthusiasm in Bodrum
As in the rest of the country, the 99th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic was celebrated with various events in Bodrum.
The 99th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic was celebrated in Bodrum with various events that lasted for 3 days. Bodrum Municipality organized various events in Bodrum center, Turgutreis District and Garaova Agricultural Camp, especially in the celebrations of the 29 October Republic Day.
The Republic Day celebrations, which started with the wreath laying ceremony at the Atatürk Monument held in Bodrum Municipality Square on October 28, continued on Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30. Thousands of people who participated in the lantern procession with the concerts held at the Municipality Square and Turgutreis Atatürk Square celebrated the Republic Day with enthusiasm.
Bodrum Governor Bilgehan Bayar, Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras, Garrison Commander Per. alb. Durmuş Altınkaya, Chief Public Prosecutor Hasan Dalak, Political Party district heads, non-governmental organizations, students and many citizens attended.
On the evening of October 28, with the support of Bodrum Municipality, Aquamaster Republic Swimming Races were held at Mahfel Cafe for the 99th anniversary of the Republic. The swimming race event, which started with 423 participants resembling fireflies in the sea at night, witnessed colorful images. District Governor Bilgehan Bayar and Deputy Mayor İbrahim Akbaş wished success to the swimmers.
While the celebrations continued with poetry and performance shows by students from various schools in the North Trench of Bodrum Castle on the morning of October 29, the Turkish Flags distributed by the Bodrum Municipality and the national anthems were accompanied by waving flags.
The Republic Festival was also held at the Bodrum Municipality Garaova Agricultural Camp. In the festival where various events were organized, there were also stands where the producers' products were exhibited.
Magnificent Lantern Regiment
Thousands of people participated in the lantern procession that took place from Bodrum Marina to Bodrum Municipality Square in the evening as part of the October 29 Republic Day Celebrations. The Republic night, hosted by the entertainer Hakan Doğanay, was marked by the moments when Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras and Bodrum District Governor Bilgehan Bayar played zeybek.
In Bodrum Municipality Square, a video show prepared by Bodrum Municipality Press and Public Relations Directorate was watched for the "Atatürk and Kuvayı Milliye" Exhibition, which met with art lovers in the Dibeklihan Culture and Art Village of Painter Aydemir Atalay recently. Painter Aydemir Atalay presented his painting of Atatürk to President Aras.
Celebrating the Republic Day of the citizens before the concert and expressing that the national holidays are celebrated with more enthusiasm every year in Bodrum, Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras said:
“Happy 99th anniversary of our Republic, where we all carry the torch of our ancestors, to all of us. My dear compatriots, bright-faced people, we have been walking on the right path for 100 years with the light of our father's torch. We will always take care of it, we will embrace it together, the future is ours, do not lose hope.
Today, we celebrate our holiday with great enthusiasm in our squares in Bodrum and Turgutreis. I thank you all and give my best regards. When our father founded the Republic, he entrusted it to the youth. We have never dropped this relic, which we carry with pride, to the ground, and we never will. Salute to our martyrs, heroic veterans who have shed their blood for thousands of years in Anatolia for this land, to our soldiers, police and security forces protecting the Republic of Turkey. If we are living in peace and security right now, we owe it to the great Atatürk and his comrades, our martyrs and veterans. May our republic stand forever, as our father said. We will achieve this together. From now on, we will always look to the future without losing our hope, and we will entrust our Republic to our children and future generations and make it live forever. We love our father, long live the Republic!”
Bodrum District Governor Bilgehan Bayar said, “We are moving forward with firm and firm steps towards the 100th anniversary of our Republic. I feel the excitement and pride of approaching the 100th anniversary. I commemorate the Great Leader Atatürk and his comrades in arms with love and mercy. Hopefully, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Republic here as always, with enthusiasm.” he said.
Ferhat Livaneli Orchestra & Utku Erişik, who took the stage at Bodrum Municipality Square, gave unforgettable moments to thousands of people who attended the concert.
Bodrum Deputy Mayor İlknur Ülküm Seferoğlu, Municipal Council Member Tamer Mandalinci and thousands of citizens attended the events held in Turgutreis. After the lantern procession held with enthusiasm, the Republic Day was celebrated with the Gripin Concert in the night hosted by Banu Tarancı. The Bodrum Folk Dances Youth and Sports Association team, which performed before the concert, received great applause from the citizens.
Council Member Tamer Mandalinci thanked the citizens who carried the holiday enthusiasm to Turgutreis Square from 7 to 77 with Atatürk and Turkish flags in their hands, and said, “The Republic is beautiful as we share it, the Republic will live forever as we follow Atatürk.” said.
