57. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Türkiye Bisiklet Turu’nun Bodrum-Kuşadası etabını Alexander Caleb Ewan kazandı.

57. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Türkiye Bisiklet Turu’nun Bodrum-Kuşadası etabını Alexander Caleb Ewan kazandı. Türk sporcu Halil Doğan, Prim kapılarının birini 1., diğerini de 2. geçti. Turun 158.1 kilometrelik ikinci etabı yarın (11 Nisan 2022) Selçuk-Alaçatı arasında koşulacak.

57. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Türkiye Bisiklet Turu 207 kilometrelik Bodrum-Kuşadası etabı ile başladı. TUR’un ilk etabını Lotto Soudal takımından Alexander Caleb Ewan 4 saat 38 dakika 05 saniye ile kazandı. Son metrelerdeki büyük çekişmede 20’nin üzerinden sporcu yer aldı ve Caleb Ewan aradan sıyrılarak finiş çizgisini birinci geçti.

Saat 09.00’da Bodrum Kalesi önünden verilen startla 167 bisikletçi Kuşadası finişi için pedal basmaya başladı. Starttan önce Arkea Samsıc takımının ünlü sporcusu Nairo Quintana Türkçe olarak halkı selamlarken, “Merhaba Türkiye” diyerek büyük alkış aldı.

Nötral startın ardından bisikletçiler ilk olarak Yalıçiftlik Kavşağı’ndan Güvercinlik’e doğru toplu halde geldiler. Buradan Havalimanı kavşağına devam ederken 39.4’üncü kilometrede tırmanış prim kapısını geride bıraktılar.

Türk Hava Yolları’nın sponsorluğundan gerçekleşen etabın ilk tırmanış prim kapısını Sakarya takımından Vitally Buts birinci olarak geçti. Bike-Aid takımında yarışan Türk sporcu Halil Doğan ikinci, Spor-Toto takımından Burak Abay 3’üncü oldu. Sporcular daha sonra ikinci prim kapısına doğru büyük bir mücadeleye başladı. Parkur genelde düz, hava hafif rüzgârlı, ancak güneşin zaman zaman yakıcı olması, bisikletçileri zor bir etapla karşı karşıya bıraktı.

Etabın tırmanış bölümünden sonra ilk kaçış grubu oluştu. Euskaltel-Euskadi takımından Julen Irizar Lascuarın, Bike-Aid takımından Halil Doğan, Wildlife Generation takımından Jonny Clarke, Sakarya Pro Team’den Vitally Buts, Spor-Toto Cyling takımından Burak Abay, Saris Rouvy Sauer Land takımından Abram Stockman ön grubu oluşturdu.

Shimano’nun sponsorluğundaki Türkiye Güzellikleri Prim Kapısı’nı Sakarya Büyükşehir takımından Vitally Buts çizgiyi birinci olarak geçti. İkinciliği Euskaltel-Euskadi takımından Julen Irizar Lascuarin, üçüncülüğü de Saris Rouvy takımından Abram Stockman geçti.

Bafa Gölü geçilirken yarışta üzücü bir durum yaşandı. Equipo Kern Pharma takımından Danny Van Der Tuuk düştü ve hemen ambulansa alınarak hastaneye kaldırıldı.

Mosso’nun sponsor olduğu etabın ilk sprint kapısındaki mücadele büyüktü. Bıke-Aid takımında yarışan günün başarılı ismi Halil Doğan bu kapıyı da birinci geçerek yarışın ilk etabında dikkat çeken isim oldu. İkinciliği Saris Rouvy takımından Abram Stockman, üçüncülüğü de Euskaltel-Euskadi takımından Julen Irizar Lascuarin elde etti.

Etabın ilk prim kapılarını geçen altılı kaçış grubu böylece Peloton (Ana Grup) ile arasındaki zaman farkını 2 dakika 41 saniye kadar açtı. Ancak finişe 70 kilometre kala Peloton hızlanınca fark bir anda erimeye başladı. Yeni zaman farkı önce 1 dakika 49, daha sonra 1 dakika 15 saniye olarak verildi.

Finişe 40 kilometre kala etabın ikinci tırmanış primi gerçekleşti. Türk Hava Yolları sponsorluğundaki primi Euskaltel-Euskadi takımından Julen Irızar Lascuarın aldı. Böylece hanesine 3 puan yazdırdı. İkinciliği Sakarya takımından Vitally Buts, üçüncülüğü de Wıldlıfe Generatıon takımından Jonny Clark elde etti. Finişe yaklaşıldıkça pelotonun iyice hızını artırdığı görüldü.

Etabın başından bu yana kaçış grubunu oluşturan altılı grup finişe 30 kilometre kala peloton tarafından yakalandı. Şimdi 167 sporcu toplu halde Kuşadası’na doğru pedal çevirmeye başladı. Yarışın hızlı cereyan etmesinden kaynaklanan bir kaza daha oldu. Finişe 25 kilometre kala Tıme Bike Exchange takımından Alekxender Konychev duvara çarpmasına rağmen yarışa devam etti.

Türk Hava Yolları’nın sponsorluğunda etabın son prim kapısını ise Arkea Samsıc takımından Nıcolas Edet geçti. İkinciliği Wild Generatıon takımından Noam Granıgan, üçüncülüğü de Equıpo Kern Pharma takımından Carlos Garcıa Pıerna elde etti. Kapıdan sonra bisikletçiler son 20 kilometre için yeni bir mücadeleye başladı. Ve sonuçta gülen Lotto Soudal takımından Alexander Calep Evan oldu.

57’inci Cumhurbaşkanlığı Türkiye Bisiklet Tur’unun 158.1 (Tour Of Türkiye) kilometrelik ikinci etabı yarın Selçuk-Alaçatı arasında koşulacak.

Alexander Caleb Ewan won the Bodrum-Kusadasi stage of the 57th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey. Turkish athlete Halil Doğan passed one of the Prim gates as the 1st and the other as the 2nd. The second stage of the tour with a length of 158.1 kilometers will be run tomorrow (April 11, 2022) between Selçuk and Alaçatı.

The 57th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey started with the 207-kilometer Bodrum-Kuşadası stage. Alexander Caleb Ewan from Lotto Soudal won the first stage of the TUR with a time of 4 hours 38 minutes 05 seconds. Over 20 athletes took part in the big competition in the last meters, and Caleb Ewan stepped out and crossed the finish line first.

With the start given in front of Bodrum Castle at 09.00, 167 cyclists started pedaling for the finish in Kuşadası. Before the start, Nairo Quintana, the famous athlete of the Arkea Samsic team, greeted the public in Turkish and received a great applause by saying "Hello Turkey".

After the neutral start, the cyclists first came en masse from Yaliciftlik Junction towards Guvercinlik. Continuing from here to the Airport junction, they left behind the climbing premium gate at the 39.4th kilometer.

Vitally Buts from Sakarya team passed the first climbing bonus gate of the stage, which was sponsored by Turkish Airlines. Turkish athlete Halil Doğan, who competed in the Bike-Aid team, came in second, and Burak Abay from the Spor-Toto team came in third. The athletes then started a big fight towards the second bonus gate. The track is generally flat, the weather is slightly windy, but the sun is burning from time to time, and the cyclists faced a difficult stage.

After the climbing stage of the stage, the first escape group formed. Julen Irizar Lascuarin from Euskaltel-Euskadi, Halil Doğan from Bike-Aid, Jonny Clarke from Wildlife Generation, Vitally Buts from Sakarya Pro Team, Burak Abay from Spor-Toto Cyling, and Abram Stockman from Saris Rouvy Sauer Land team formed the front group.

Vitally Buts from Sakarya Metropolitan team crossed the line first at the Turkish Beauties Premium Gate sponsored by Shimano. Julen Irizar Lascuarin from Euskaltel-Euskadi was second and Abram Stockman from Saris Rouvy was third.

There was an accident

While crossing Lake Bafa, a sad situation occurred in the race. Danny Van Der Tuuk from the Equipo Kern Pharma team fell and was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The fight at the first sprint gate of the stage sponsored by Mosso was great. Competing in the Bike-Aid team, Halil Doğan, the successful name of the day, passed this gate first and became the name that attracted attention in the first stage of the race. Abram Stockman from Saris Rouvy was second and Julen Irizar Lascuarin from Euskaltel-Euskadi was third.

Passing the first bonus doors of the stage, the six escape group thus widened the time difference between them and the Peloton (Main Group) by 2 minutes 41 seconds. However, when the Peloton accelerated 70 kilometers from the finish, the gap began to melt away. The new time difference was first given as 1 minute 49, then 1 minute and 15 seconds.

With 40 kilometers left to the finish, the second climb premium of the stage took place. Julen Irizar Lascuarin from Euskaltel-Euskadi received the award sponsored by Turkish Airlines. Thus, he wrote 3 points to his credit. Vitally Buts from Sakarya team took the second place and Jonny Clark from Wildlife Generation won the third place. It was seen that the peloton increased its speed as the finish approached.

The group of six, which had formed the escape group since the beginning of the stage, was caught by the peloton 30 kilometers from the finish. Now, 167 athletes started to pedal towards Kuşadası en masse. There was another accident caused by the fast pace of the race. 25 kilometers from the finish, Alekxender Konychev from the Time Bike Exchange team continued the race despite hitting the wall.

Under the sponsorship of Turkish Airlines, Nicolas Edet from Arkea Samsic team passed the last bonus gate of the stage. Noam Granigan from the Wild Generation team took the second place and Carlos Garcia Pierna from the Equipo Kern Pharma team took the third place. After the gate, the cyclists started a new challenge for the last 20 kilometers. And it was Alexander Calep Evan from Lotto Soudal who laughed after all.

The second stage of the 57th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, 158.1 kilometers (Tour Of Turkey), will be run between Selçuk and Alaçatı tomorrow.
