Gümüşlük Forumu tarafından başlatılan, "Kıyılar Hepimizindir" etkinlik ve eylemi her pazar günü tekrarlanıyor. Bu haftasonu da forum üyeleri Gümüşlük sahilindeki işgallere dikkat çekti.
Gümüşlük Forum, 19 Temmuz Pazar günü Gümüşlük'te "Kıyılar Hepimizindir" sloganıyla bir kaz daha bir araya gelerek kıyılarda halka açık alanalrdaki işgallere dikkat çekti ve ilgilileri uyardı.
Gmüşlük Belediye çay bahçesinde toplanan Gümüşlük Forumu üyeleri sahil boyunce yüyüyerek Çayıraltı Halk Plajı ve diğer halka açık kumsalı şezlong, şemsiye, masa ve sandalyelerle işgal edip ücret karşılığı kullandırtan işletmeleri protesto ettiler. Forum üyeleri kamu görevlileri ile belediye yetkililerini de göreve davet etti.

"Kıyılar Hepimizindir...
Bugün Gümüşlük'te bir araya gelmemizin nedeni, yalnızca bir kıyı şeridini değil; Anayasa ve yasalarla güvence altına alınan ortak yaşam alanlarımızı koruma sorumluluğudur.
Gümüşlük Forum olarak, kıyıların herkesin eşit ve serbest kullanımına açık olması gerektiğine inanıyoruz.
Anayasa'nın 43. maddesi ve 3621 sayılı Kıyı Kanunu açıkça ifade etmektedir ki kıyılar devletin hüküm ve tasarrufu altındadır ve öncelikle kamu yararı gözetilerek kullanılmalıdır.
Bugün amacımız; halkın denize erişim hakkına, ortak yaşam alanlarına ve kıyıların kamusal niteliğine dikkat çekmektir.
İşletmelerin faaliyet göstermesine karşı değiliz. Ancak kıyıların tamamına yakın bölümünün ticari kullanıma ayrılması ve vatandaşların özgürce yararlanabileceği alanların giderek azalması, kamu yararı açısından değerlendirilmesi gereken önemli bir konudur.
Kıyıya erişim ve kıyılardan yararlanma hakkı hiçbir koşulda ücret ödenmesine ya da belirli bir işletmenin kullanımına bağlı hale getirilemez. Aynı şekilde, ecrimisil ödenmesi de kıyılar üzerinde özel veya münhasır bir kullanım hakkı doğurmaz.
Talebimiz son derece nettir: Kıyıların kamusal niteliğinin korunması, halkın denize ücretsiz ve kesintisiz erişiminin güvence altına alınması ve kıyılarda kamu yararını önceleyen uygulamaların hayata geçirilmesidir.
Ülkemizin doğal ve kamusal değerlerine sahip çıkmaya, ortak yaşam alanlarımızı korumaya ve bu konuda yapıcı bir diyalog geliştirmeye devam edeceğiz."

"Actions for 'Shores Belong to All' continue in Gümüşlük."
The "The Coasts Belong to Us All" event and protest, initiated by the Gümüşlük Forum, is repeated every Sunday. This weekend, forum members once again drew attention to the encroachments on the Gümüşlük coast.
On Sunday, July 19th, the Gümüşlük Forum gathered again in Gümüşlük under the slogan "The Coasts Belong to Us All," drawing attention to and warning relevant authorities about the encroachments on public areas along the coast.
Gathering at the Gümüşlük Municipality tea garden, members of the Gümüşlük Forum walked along the coast, protesting against businesses that occupy Çayıraltı Public Beach and other public beaches with sun loungers, umbrellas, tables, and chairs, charging for their use. Forum members also called on public officials and municipal authorities to take action.
The statement released by the Gümüşlük Forum is below:
"The Coasts Belong to Us All...
The reason we are gathered in Gümüşlük today is not just to protect a coastline, but also our shared living spaces guaranteed by the Constitution and laws.
As the Gümüşlük Forum, we believe that coasts should be open to the equal and free use of everyone.
Article 43 of the Constitution and the Coastal Law No. 3621 clearly state that coasts are under the sovereignty and control of the state and should be used primarily for the public good.
Our aim today is to draw attention to the public's right to access the sea, shared living spaces, and the public nature of the coasts.
We are not against businesses operating. However, the fact that almost all of the coasts are allocated to commercial use and that the areas that citizens can freely use are gradually decreasing is an important issue that must be evaluated from the perspective of public interest.
The right to access and use the coast cannot under any circumstances be made dependent on the payment of a fee or the use of a specific business. Similarly, the payment of compensation for unauthorized use does not create a private or exclusive right of use over the coasts.
Our demand is extremely clear: The protection of the public nature of the coasts." The goal is to ensure free and uninterrupted access to the sea for the public and to implement public benefit-oriented practices along the coast.
We will continue to protect our country's natural and public assets, preserve our shared living spaces, and develop a constructive dialogue on this issue."
