Son yerel genel seçimlerde Bodrum'da CHP listelerinde "kontenjan" dan Bodrum Belediye Meclisi üyeliği için aday gösterilen Asuman Gülsoy 8 EKim 2026 tarihinde partisinden istifa etti, kısa süre sonra da AK Parti'ye katıldı.

Cumhurbaşkanı ve AK Parti Genel Başkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan'ın da hazır bulunduğu törenle AK Parti MKYK toplantısı sonrası, AK Parti Kadın Kolları Başkanı Tuğba Işık Ercan tarafından rozeti takılan eski CHP'li Asuman Gülsoy'a Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi Muğla İl Başkanı Halil Karahan'dan çok sert tepki geldi. Karahan katıldığı bir televizyon programındaki canlı yayında, "Bodrum seçmeninin oyunu gasp etti. Bunun da sorumlusu Gökan Zeybek’tir" dedi.

Karahan'ın konuyla ilgili açıklamaları şöyle;

"Tam bir fecaat. Yapay zekanın eseri. Özgür Özel, ‘Her şey yapay zekayla belirledik’ dedi ya, Asuman Hanım da herhalde yapay zekayla geldi meclis koltuğuna. Asuman Hanımın gelişi zaten tepki almıştı. Pek bir aidiyet de oluşmamıştı. Kabul görmedi kendisi"

"Siyasi Ahlak Yasası diyoruz ya, gerçekten Siyasi Ahlak Yasası lazım. Hanımefendi İstanbul’da gezerken, dolaşırken yolu Gökan Zeybek ile kesişiyor. Çok marifetli, üstün meziyetleri olduğu tespit ediliyor ve Bodrum’da meclis üyesi yapılıyor. Hikaye bu kadar. Bodrum örgütü de kabul etmedi. "Asuman Hanım, 'mimarım' diyor, herhangi bir proje yok ortada. Çizdiği bir projeyi gösterirse ben sözümü geri alacağım. 2 yıllık bir üniversite mezunu, bu da olabilir. Ortaokul mezunu da olabilir. Mevcut belediye meclis üyeleri içerisinde diplomasını belediyeye teslim etmeyen tek kişi Asuman Gülsoy. Mimarım diye yazıldı, hatta broşürler basıldı, asıldı. Sonra hanımefendinin diploması gelmeyince, mimar olmadığı anlaşılınca broşürler değişmiş. O gün seçim içinde olan herkes bunu biliyor."

"Şimdi bütün bunları yaşatıyorsunuz, sonra diyorsunuz ki ‘20 yıllık üyeliğimi sonlandırdım’ Ya sizin gibiler eksik olsun. Asuman Hanım, Bodrum seçmeninin oyunu gasp ediyor. CHP Provincial Chairman Karahan Asks Gülsoy About Her Diploma

Halil Karahan, the Muğla Provincial Chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP), asked Asuman Gülsoy, a Bodrum Municipal Council member who joined the AK Party, "Where is your diploma?" The full statement is in the news...

Asuman Gülsoy, who was nominated for a Bodrum Municipal Council seat on the CHP list in the last local elections through a "quota" transfer from Istanbul, resigned from her party on October 8, 2026, and joined the AK Party.

Following the AK Party Central Executive Committee meeting, where President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was also present, and where she received her party badge from AK Party Women's Branch President Tuğba Işık Ercan, the former CHP member Asuman Gülsoy received a very harsh reaction from Halil Karahan, the Muğla Provincial Chairman of the Republican People's Party. In a live television program, Karahan stated, "She usurped the votes of Bodrum voters. The person responsible for this is Gökan Zeybek."

Karahan's statements on the matter are as follows:

"It's a complete disaster. It's the work of artificial intelligence. Özgür Özel said, 'We determined everything with artificial intelligence,' and I suppose Asuman Hanım also came to the council seat with artificial intelligence. Asuman Hanım's arrival had already received backlash. There wasn't much of a sense of belonging. She wasn't accepted."

"We talk about a Political Ethics Law, but we really need one. While she was traveling around Istanbul, her path crossed with Gökan Zeybek. It was determined that she was very skillful and had superior qualities, and she was made a council member in Bodrum. That's the story. The Bodrum organization didn't accept her either. However, Gökan Zeybek, using the power he gained from his position, made Asuman Gülsoy a municipal council member, and the story ends with the AKP in a state of shock..."

"Asuman Hanım says she's an architect, but there are no projects to show. If she shows me a project she's drawn, I'll retract my statement. She's a two-year university graduate, that's possible. She could even be a middle school graduate. Among the current municipal council members, there are none who haven't submitted their diplomas to the municipality." "There was only one person, Asuman Gülsoy. It was written that she was an architect, even brochures were printed and displayed. Then, when her diploma didn't arrive and it became clear she wasn't an architect, the brochures were changed. Everyone involved in the election that day knows this."

"Now you're causing all this, and then you say, 'I've ended my 20-year membership.' May people like you be gone forever. Ms. Asuman is usurping the votes of Bodrum voters. She has usurped the rights of those who participated in the primary elections, worked hard, and waited at the ballot boxes within the Republican People's Party. And Gökan Zeybek is responsible for this."
